Golden Eagle Festival Mongolia Photography Tour 2026
This Golden Eagle Festival Mongolia photo tour is built for photographers who want more than just watching the festival. It focuses on real shooting time, better positioning, and working directly with eagle hunters in the Altai Mountains. The Golden Eagle Festival brings together Kazakh eagle hunters from across western Mongolia. Over two days, you can photograph fast action as eagles are released from mountain ridges, traditional horseback games, and strong portrait moments in natural light.
Beyond the festival, the tour includes private shooting sessions with eagle hunters in Sagsai and around Tolbo Lake. These sessions give you more control over light, background, and composition — ideal for portraits, horseback scenes, and storytelling images without the pressure of crowds. This is a small group photography tour designed around field conditions. We plan for early morning and late afternoon shooting, work with natural light, and allow enough time in each location to build a strong and varied portfolio.
