Dignified Eagle Festival- Focus of the World's attention 

When the first Golden Eagle Festival was held in 1999, it brought around 70 eagle hunters to compete and gather near Ulgii Town. 20 years later, in a westernmost part of Mongolia has become focus of the world’s attention on glorious and dignified Eagle hunting tradition’s power to shape the culture. 

Charismatic young Eagle hunter Jenisbek from Sagsai village who took 3rd place of coin grabbing competition named as Tenge-Ilu this year. 

141 eagle trainers from 13 soums of Ulgii province competed with their eagle training skills at the 20^th anniversary of Golden Eagle Festival.

Breathtaking way to the Golden Eagle Festival

Eagle hunters are on the way to the festival, it is the one of the amazing moments, seeing, photographing and saying good luck for successful participation. 

Saying Tabis Kutem, Tabis Kutem, Tabis Kutem which means good luck in Kazakh Language. 

Epic Golden Eagle Festival starts 

It doesn’t take a visitor long to understand how amazing and eye-catching Golden Eagle Festival is. 

A long waited festival has started with glorified Golden Eagle Hunters' parade. From Kazakh minority people, the languages you hear all around you, jaw-dropping sights and fascinating eagle hunters everywhere, all with unique face and dressed in full traditional costume and regalia. 

Golden Eagle and It’s superb hearing

At the Calling Eagle on arm competition, the eagle will be released from the top of the mountain and hunter calls his/her trained eagles and must meet up eagle among people down. Majestic eagles hearing her master’s voice and locate it from great distance.  

He watches from his mountain walls,

And like a thunderbolt he falls.

It is same as when the eagle hunters out stretchs arm the bird will spot their prey and attack on command in real hunting situation. 

Golden Eagle-  Just like an arrow cross the sky

Golden Eagles (Aquila Chrysacty) are born for hunting; they have incredible speed, great eye sight and powerful feet with sharp talons. 

The golden eagle also looks the part with over 2000 tightly packed and feathers keeping it warm so they can live in many different types of climate; from the fringe of the Arctic zone to hot desert and do not migrate.

Keeping This Ancient and Breathtaking Tradition Alive

The golden eagle festival is not show, it is true challange of the eagle’s skill, hunter’s concentration and the unbreakable bond which has been forged between the two after many years of both successful and failed hunting and training together.

You can’t find gorgeous and alive Golden Eagle Festival from anywhere from around world except Mongolia where you can eyewitness this amazing way of tradition and cultural heritages. 

 28 years old eagle hunter Nuraisal Manai whose father also won two times glorious title of champion. This year, he has achieved honored 3^rd place at the festival by showing his skills on his blood. 

The King Eagle of 20th anniversary of Golden Eagle Festival 

From around 140 eagles and eagle hunters, the honored King Eagle title went to Arman, 36 years old hunter’s eagle from Sagsai village and the second place is for Chaimurat who has already earned 3 times winner. 

On the second day of the festival, Kyk-Bar competition, the ancient and interesting events’ honored winner title goes to Aibol, eagle hunter from Sagsai  village, the second place is for Harjaubai and the third place is eagle hunter Janarbek. According to the A.Gilimkhan, governor of the province, it is estimated that this year festival attracted around 2000 tourists from 23 countries in westernmost region of Mongolia with its glorious 20^th anniversary.
